AISTEM

Since October 2024, the ProBudnik Association has been a partner in the international AI STEM Project, which brings together organizations from different European countries with the shared goal of developing innovative educational practices that combine artificial intelligence and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) approaches in school education.

The project focuses on developing interactive methods, resources, and training programs that support teachers and students in building digital and analytical skills, while also promoting critical thinking and the ethical use of technology.

Partners

The AISTEM project brings together six organizations from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, and Slovakia, with expertise in education, technology, research, and innovation. Together, we work to make AI education accessible, interactive, and practical for students and teachers across Europe.

40th Secondary School “Louis Pasteur” – Sofia, Bulgaria

ProBudnik Association – Sofia, Bulgaria
Regional Directorate of Secondary Education – Chania, Greece
Technical University of Crete (Polytechneio Kritis) – Greece
Regional Directorate of Education – Muğla, Turkey
Club Intelectualls Association – Bratislava, Slovakia

The project officially launched with a kick-off meeting in Sofia, organized by ProBudnik and bringing together all partners. During the meeting, the overall timeline of activities was presented, along with the project’s objectives, key indicators, and the vision for the development of the platform and educational materials.

January – April 2025 – Monthly online meetings
Following the launch, partner teams held regular online meetings focused on developing the learning modules and the digital platform. These sessions included the exchange of ideas on integrating AI tools into a STEM context, including data visualization practices, experiment design, and the use of generative AI in the learning process.

May 2025 – Co-creation workshops in partner countries

In May 2025, local co-creation workshops were held in each partner country — in Italy, Greece, Sweden, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The workshops brought together teachers, students, and experts who tested the first prototypes of the learning resources and provided feedback on their content and practical applicability.

At the Bulgarian workshop, organized by ProBudnik, participants developed their own mini project ideas using AI tools for data analysis and visualization of STEM concepts.

In the autumn, we met again in person — this time in Muğla, Turkey. There, we consolidated what we had learned so far, refined the platform and learning modules, and exchanged experience across different educational contexts. Less presentations, more practice and conversation.
