Сдружение ПроБудник получи финансиране от #BG4UA “България за Украйна” и фондация #BCause за проекта “Еквилибриум”.

According to the explanatory dictionary, the word “equilibrium” means balance — a state in which everything is in its place and in harmony. It is a balance that hundreds of Ukrainian women and children have lost as a result of the war and their forced displacement from their homes.
With the project of the same name that we are launching, our goal is to support refugee mothers and their children accommodated at the “Hugs from Bulgaria” Center in the city of Pernik, helping them regain a sense of balance in their daily lives and in their new environment. Numerous studies demonstrate the positive impact of recreational activities on mental health and resilience, including in coping with the distress caused by the violence of war.
Our aim is to provide the mothers staying at the Center with time and space for rest and self-care through creative and relaxing activities, while engaging their children in structured play.
Conscious self-care, especially in times of change and crisis, is a vital resource for mothers, holding significant potential for coping and adaptation.
Our mission is also to support child development and protect the sanctity of children’s play in times of crisis and war, as it is the primary way children learn about their environment and themselves. Play helps children cope with the difficult emotions that the situation inevitably brings, and for which words are not yet enough.
